Joulukortit / Christmas cards

Tänä vuonna jouluista tunnelmaa meille tehdään muun muassa omenoilla ja sienillä. Myös joulukortit ovat sieni- ja omenateeman mukaisia. 

Kortteihin käytin vesivärejä, tusseja ja puukyniä. Ennen lähettämistä kortit roikkuivat keittiön ikkunassa. 

This year I get a Christmas feelings from the apples and mushrooms. So I choose this theme for my Xmas cards. 

Before sending I hang the cards to the kitchen window.

I was reading a bit of Christmas cards history. Wikipedia said that Christmas cards are originally from England. First cards were published on  1843. 

Unfortunately this tradition seems to be fading away. People are sending greetings by SMS. I have to say that I do prefer a card. And it is always even better if the card is self-made.
