In Tallinn they opened Fotografiska, a photograph museum, on 2019. I had heard only praising words about the place, so we had to go and see what it's all about.
And trip was not wasted, place is truly worth of visiting.
In Fotografiska they had three exhibitions. First was famous photojournalist James Nachtwey's exhibition 'Memoria'. It is just amazing where he has been and how close to the actual situations. At the beginning there was a warning that some pictures might be upsetting - and they were correct. Some pictures I will never forget.
Second part of the exhibition was from Mandy Parker 'Sea of Artifacts'. Last part was from celebrity photographer Vincent Peters : 'Light Within'. Absolute beautiful pictures.
On top of the building is a restaurant where you have 360degree view to Tallinn. Nice detail: when I ordered a drink, I got it in camera lens shape glass.
Fotografiska will be on my visit list every time I will go to Tallinn. Wonderful place.
