Sadevesijärjestelmä pitää rakennuksen perustuksen kuivana. Järjestelmään kuuluu putkia, siivilöitä sekä sadevesikaivo. Sadevesiviemärin johtamat vedet kulkeutuvat edelleen kunnalliseen sadevesiviemäriin.
Putkien kuoppa täytettiin vanhalla pihalla olleella soralla. Pihalle levitettiin suojakangas, jonka päälle levitettiin soraa. Minä kärräsin soraa kottikärryillä ja Rakentaja käytti tärytintä. Sora piti nopeasti saada pois ajotieltä. Oli todella kuuma ja olin juuri edeltävä iltana tullut töistä kotiin. Väsyttävä päivä siis.

Gravel had to get quickly out of the driveway. It was really hot day and I had just come home from work the day before. So it was really tiring day.
