Kesähuone mökille / Guest room to the summer cottage

Mökillä ulkorakennuksen toisessa päädyssä oli 
2,0m x 1,8m kokoinen puuvarasto. Varastossa oli erillinen ovi sekä ikkuna. Sain heti ajatuksen, että siitä tehtäisiin kesähuone. 

Seinät levytettiin Hunton puukuitulevyllä ja katto paneloitiin. Pinnat maalattiin ja huone sisustettiin mökiltä löytyneiltä huonekaluilla.

At summer cottage is a extra warehouse with a storage areas and toilet. At the other end of the building was 2,0m x 1,8m woodshed. Room had a separate door and a window. I immediately thought of turning it into a quest room. 

The walls were plated and ceiling covered with a wood panel. The surfaces were painted and the room is furnished with furniture's found from the cottage.

This summer room came out really nice and cozy!

Kirpputorilöytö: retromukit / Retro style mugs from the Flea Market

Olen löytänyt muutaman retromukin kirpputoreilta. Mukit on valmistettu Englannissa Staffordshiren keramiikkatehtaassa.

I have found a few retro mugs from the Flea Market. Mugs are made in England at Staffordshire pottery factory.

Luonto mökillä / Nature at the summer cottage

Kesämökillä luonto on hyvin lähellä.
Nature is so close when you spend time in the summer cottage.

Remontointi: Katon ja rännien maalaus / Painting of the roof and rainwater pipes

Talon maalauksen jälkeen tietysti katto ja rännitkin piti maalata.

After painting the house, we needed to paint the roof and rainwater pipes too.

Remontointi: Pihalle köynnösseinä / Fence for creeper

Pienen pihamme yleiskuvaa hallitsee naapurin keltainen seinä. Rakentaja sai idean tehdä tukiseinän Villiviinille (Parthenocissus). Juureen istutimme Rönsytiarellaa (Tiarella cordifolia).

In our small garden neighbor's yellow wall is quite dominating. Builder got an idea to build a wall for creeper plant. 

Remontointi: Muuriin koristekivi / Covering the wall

Keittiössä oleva piipun muuri päällystettiin koristekivellä. Näitäkin on hyvin monenlaisia. 

Valitsimme Goudan väriset kivet. Ne tilattiin Home for You-liikkeestä.

The wall behind the stove was covered with decorative stone. Stone was ordered from Home for You-store. Color is Gouda.

Tapettien valinta voi olla todella tuskattuttavaa. Valikoimaa on todella paljon. Yli kuukauden katselin kaikkia mahdollisia tapetteja kaikista mahdollisista mallistoista.

Tapetit muualle paitsi WC:hen tilasin Hollannista Miss Marplelta. Tapetit tulivat nopeasti ja hyvin pakattuina.  

Hauskin tapetti löytyy WC:stä. Sen nimi on lovebird, väri mustard.
